Our leather suppliers produce the finest nubuk and calfskin in diverse grains. These leathers get their unique durability and structure through special tanning, embossing and finishing processes. Of course, we use full-grain leather exclusively in our products.
Our products are the result of complex hand craftsmanship. We have succeeded in making long-lasting, quality leather products with the lightest possible weight.

Top: the Viennese double-folded stitch; Bottom: normal saddle-stitch
|
The intricate and laborious handwork of our Viennese craftsmen results in a product that is extremely durable yet lightweight. We follow the long-standing tradition of fine Viennese bag makers, which requires, wherever possible, double-folded stitching. This means that all exterior seams are worked by hand so that no open cut edges are visible.
|
This laborious technique is what distinguishes our leather wares from the other established brands of fine leather articles. Many other such “luxury” brands have origins in saddlery, which is revealed to this day by the cut-edge seams typical of horse tack and bridle gear. Far better for we humans is the Viennese double-fold technique in our fine leather accessories! |
| Our select metal fittings and zippers are top-quality nickel plated and have the color of polished silver. The linings are green silk moiré or, by request, colored leather. |

"Metternich" Buckle |
For our briefcases, we use a round locking buckle modeled after one used by Prince von Metternich during the Congress of Vienna. |
| Our handmade products are especially long-lasting and provide long-lived satisfaction to their owners. Should repairs become necessary, we will do them in-house with the same attention to detail, thus increasing the life-span of our pieces for many years. |
