Years ago, I searched all over Vienna for a durable, elegant and lightweight leather briefcase, but I couldn't find any that I liked. So, I asked a shoemaker to custom-produce a Scotch-grain leather briefcase according to my own design.

I followed this up with a shoulder bag, a travel bag, and two wallets.
Before I even knew it, I had produced my first collection! As years went by, so many
people admired my creations that I decided to make it my profession! I could finally combine the creativity of my earlier participation in the arts with my subsequent business training. |
I started to experiment with different colours and types of leather.
Finally, in 1985, I founded my own company: R. Horn's Wien Accessories
and Travel Aricles.

I opened a boutique in Vienna's city centre, on Bräunerstrasse 7. Later, I opened boutiques on Mahlergasse and on Stephansplatz. My fine leather goods are also sold through select resellers throughout Europe and by the Neue Galerie Design Shop in New York City. |
