The craftsmanship of our models is the result of meticulous handwork and artisanal production, making our products exceptionally durable and ensuring they will bring joy to their owners for many years to come. Any necessary repairs are carried out in-house.
We source the leather for our products primarily from Italian tanneries. The tanneries that work with us process nubuck, calfskin, and cowhide with various grain patterns. Special tanning, embossing, and finishing processes give the leather its individual strength and texture. Naturally, we use only full-grain leather.
As manufacturers of classic Viennese leather goods, we follow the old tradition of working with "double-folded" seams. This simply means that no raw edges should be visible on the finished pieces.
The edges are folded in, meaning an approximately 1cm edge is sharpened, reducing the thickness from 1,6mm to 0,3mm, while of course preserving the scar.
As a next step, adhesive is applied to the edge strip; after a short drying time, this fold is folded over with a bone folder, smoothed down and finally sewn.
This method requires significantly more labor during production.
